Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2014

Roberto Cavalli's Fall/Winter collection for this year is largely inspired by the 1920s. Drop-waist flapper like dresses, stunning beaded evening gowns, large fur coats and collars in contrast to more menswear pieces like tweed and leather jackets. The whole concept of the show was to indicate the type of woman who embraces her masculine side by day and becomes a conqueror of men by night, which is exactly the Cavalli woman. This is his formula, his signature style, the idea behind his pieces - the femme fatale. And this collection has not failed his vision.

Stone Cold Fox: Ladies and Gentlemen Fall 2014

Stone Cold Fox have launched their Fall 2014 collection with the lookbook "Ladies and Gentlemen". The pieces range from bridal dresses to military inspired items, all fitting into their signature bohemian style, while using high quality fabrics, mostly lace and sand-washed silk.

Alexandre Vauthier Couture Fall/Winter 2014-15

My idea for today's post came from Miley Cyrus's outfit at last night's VMA's. I checked out all the red carpet arrivals and and was really disappointed - terrible outfit choices on 90% of the celebs. One of the few pieces I liked is Miley's Alexandre Vauthier ensemble. I find it really simple, chic and just the right amount edgy. So kudos to Miley for the best outfit choice on the VMA's! Of course, I had to take a look at the collection it came from and I love it! The clothing is very urban, yet glamorous and has some unique stand out items.

Bohemian Royale by Spell Designs

The Australian based brand released their new look book yesterday - Bohemian Royale. For those of you who are not familiar with Spell Designs - their products range from hand-crafted jewellery and adornments of leather, turquoise, sterling silver, hand-carved bone & wood, antique chain & gypsy treasures to luscious vintage inspired silk and rayon kimonos. To sum it up, their own style description: "boho meets beach sass". If you're into that style, you will love their new lookbook!

Straight Off The Runway: Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall

Designer Christopher Bailey,  Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer of Burberry since May 1, 2014, has put together an amazing Pre-Fall collection for the brand and has once again impressed the fashion world. The range is very rich in textures and fabrics, as well as in stand out effects like over-embroidered lace and silken jacquards, showing Bailey's commitment to old British crafts. What brings the different pieces together are long, lean silhouettes and softening cocoon and fur coats. Of course, a Burberry collection cannot go without the signature Burberry trench.
