Victoria's Secret: Fun Facts

Victoria's Secret is the largest American lingerie retailer, founded by Roy Raymond back in 1977. It's best known for their variety of sexy women's undies, their annual VS Fashion Show and their Angels.
For today;s post I've made a selection of interesting fact about the VS models, fashion shows and the brand itself. :) You may not know these things ( I didn't :D ) and if you do know them, I guess you're a bigger fan than I am.. :D

1. The average size of the model's shoes for the VS Fashion show is six inches (about 15,30 cm)

2.  The total budget for last year’s event was $12 Million, 100 times more than the brand’s first fashion show, back in 1995.

3. Ticket price is over 14 000$

4. Adriana Lima walked her 13th VS Fashion show last year.

5. The most expensive Fantasy Bra (a different, one of a kind bra is made every year by a different jeweller for the annual fashion show and one lucky model gets picked to wear it) cost $15 million - the VS Red Hot Fantasy Bra, worn by Gisele in 2000. 

6. Victoria's secret regularly denies celebrity requests to model.

7. VS Angels are chosen based on their appeal to women, not men.

8. 40 models walked the runway for last year's fashion show.

9. Candice Swanepoel is the first South African to ever work a VS runway. She also has an amazing waist to hip ratio of 33-23-34, which is considered to be perfection as a general consensus.

10. Kids used to taunt Izabel Goulart as “Giraffe” for being so tall and lacking any curves.

 11. Gisele Bundchen has a cartoon show - Gisele & the Green Team–where she leads a pack of teen supermodels who double as environmental superheroines. 

12. Miranda Kerr was the very first Australian to be part of a Victoria's Secret campaign. You  also may not have known that Kerr has her own skincare line, called Kora Organics, and authored an inspirational self-help book aimed toward teenage girls entitled "Treasure Yourself."

13. Erin Heatherton was once a basketball star, playing as a first-string athlete on her high school team.

 14. Adriana Lima actually has a very rich ethnic background--she is of African, Swiss, Japanese and Indian descent. She is also multilingual and hopes to become a pediatrician once her modeling days are done.

15. Heidi Klum was the first German to become a Victoria's Secret Angel.
